I had no idea either & now I'm seeing them everywhere - even Chris had a linkity today - http://www.etsy.com/listing/57023051/cthulu-inspired-tentacle-cameo
Chris, I've loved Lovecraft since college. "The Shadow Over Innsmouth" is one of my favorite stories of any genre. The man could really create atmosphere.
Sorry, Tam, I know those aren't your kind of pix! But hey, think of Cthulhu as a gay shifter. (Maybe I should do that. Yeah...nobody's done a Great Old One shifter yet!)
Hi, Juni! It seems the popularity of Cthulhu, which Lovecraft created in the late 1920s, waxes and wanes. For some reason, the C-Man's been getting a lot of attention recently.

He looks super hot in a suit!
That's not just any suit, Jase; that's his Santa suit!
Oh, I loves me some Cthulhu!
I like the first one, with his power tie. :)
Ah, I see. The Corporate Cthulhu. I just got hung up on the Santa.
The many facets of Cthulhu - I had no idea!
The only time I've ever had to leave the lights on overnight was after reading Lovecraft.
I'm more of a cookie monster kind of girl, but those were cute. I like the Hello Kitty one.
