In Praise of Cover Artists!

Anne Cain, for Dreamspinner
Since I blab a lot about my respect for cover artists, I thought I'd post a little homage to them. The covers in this post are but a small sampling of the ones that have recently caught my eye (within my genre, that is). Enjoy!
Christine M. Griffin, for Loose Id
Alex Beecroft, for MLR

Reese Dante, for Dreamspinner
April Martinez, for Loose Id
Justin James, for Loose Id
Jordan Taylor, for Riptide
L. C. Chase, for Josh Lanyon

Wow, K.Z. What an honor to be included with some amazing artists! Thank you. :-)
The artist for Riptide's Dark Soul covers is Jordan Taylor.

Gah, there were so many to choose from, Anne!

L.C., I think it's a beautiful cover -- color palette, composition, evocation of the story are all right on target, as far as I'm concerned. :)

Those Dark Soul covers are stunning. I'll have to give Jordan credit (and suggest to Riptide that they do the same for their artists!)

Alex should do more of the MLR covers. :)

Those are really striking!

I loved Alex's cover for Junction X. Very stark, and perfect for the story. (It isn't MLR's publication, though.)
