Preachments

People on Facebook suggesting what I should "like." Politicians (and Fox NoNews) telling me what I should and shouldn't believe. Corporations telling me what I should buy. The PC Police telling me how I should live.

Damn, I'm sick of being told shit. I like opinions (value them, in fact), and I cherish shared wisdom (like author Victor Banis's, bless 'im), and I don't mind in the least hearing about good and just causes (those should be publicized). But I'm really sick of preachments. I'm sick of people ascending the Mount and giving me The Word.

I'll tell you what the Word is: the Bird is the Word.

Well we were just told last night that if we don't poop EVERY DAY its a very very bad thing. That only pooping every three days mean your body holds 13.5 lbs of fecal matter. THAT'S why I'm fat. I haven't pooped in 8 months. The kidlet and I looked at each other eyebrows up. A person poops over 13 lbs every 3 days? Holy crap, literally. You'd need a massive toilet or be in there ALL the time. But hey, if you buy their product they'll make sure you poop daily, several times daily. *eye roll* Aren't you sorry I even started this discussion. It was just so weird it's stuck in my head.

What an odd song. Catchy but they didn't spend a lot of time on lyrics did they?

Ha, found THIS ARTICLE about the ad.

You SHOULD NOT listen to those people. :P

Very wise of you, Chris. For authors, Facebook is an acceptable form of symbiosis (or mutual parasitism, which doesn't sound quite as respectable *g*).

Leah, you're preaching to the choir. ;-)
