Two Bits

Val Kovalin, who writes the "Man to Man" gay romance feature for ARe's (All Romance eBooks) Wild Fire newsletter, chose Mongrel as her top pick this month. I don't know what to say. You'll have to read the review to know why it left me speechless.

Oh, and by the way . . . precious_boy is now available at the Dreamspinner Press site. If you didn't notice that its cover is directly to your right, I hope you get your hormone deficiency corrected soon. ;-)

P.S. Not to change tracks or nuthin', but Weeping Cock has some very educational posts this week, including the amazing case of the fizzing semen. So don a pair of Depends and hop on over there. You'll be glad you did -- http://community.livejournal.com/weepingcock/

I don't know why, TeddyP, but that phrase pig cave gives me sort of a pleasant shiver. Maybe I'm more degenerate than I thought. Heh. ;-)

What no comment about naming my iPad iPig????

*sigh*

"iPig" is so appropriate, I didn't give it a second thought. :)

Thanks, Chris!

Hi, KZ! I loved Mongel. It totally deserved to be Top Pick. And we even got your name right. I'm so pleased. :)

I'm glad you got to read the Wildfire review. I think it was the best review yet I've written for the book, which happens sometimes when I review the same book more than once for different places. I get my thoughts better articulated on the later reviews.

You know, Val, that makes perfect sense to me (and probably does to you, too, since you're a writer). It's sort of like going through drafts of a book. Each is a bit more refined than the last.

Bottom line: I'm genuinely thrilled, and even more grateful.

Have you caught up with your deadlines yet? You need to get back to Obsidian Bookshelf; it's empty without you! :)

That's exactly it! I'm done with the deadline, too. As of tonight, I put the new book info up on Goodreads, and it'll be coming out in April. I'll get back with the blog posts tomorrow or the next day after a little time off first. :)

Woohoo! Great news all around, Val!

Congratulations. Now that I actually don't have to read any Christmas stories anymore I can read some other books. Yours are on my list. Congrats on the great review and the new release.

I don't know how you did it, Tam. Yikes! I can't even begin to guess how many holiday stories came out this season.

I think from now on, I'm going to try my damnedest not to have a release in December. My poor Mongrel was buried beneath an avalanche of sugar! ;-)
