I found Rick Reed at a garage sale . . .

And brought him home. Actually, it was a paperback copy of his first published book, Obsessed (1991). Click on the post title to read more about it and to see his HOT author photo. (I'd show it to you here and now . . . if my scanner hadn't crashed along with every other $%*&#@&* electronic device I own. This summer has not been a good one for me, cars, and computers.)

Most excellent garage sale find!

I was pretty excited to find a Richard Stevenson paperback at the thrift store a few weeks ago...

Oh my, pretty impressive stache he had there.

I know what you mean about electronics. Mine all crapped out within a week. It's like they somehow die in sympathy of whatever the first one is to bit the dust.

wordveri: imope - what I do before having to go back to work Monday.

I do love me some good junking expeditions. Haven't gone on a whole lot of them in the past couple of years -- gas prices combined with writing/editing have kept me at home -- but it never ceases to amaze me what cool stuff can be found.

Gawd, Tam, I've had just a hideous stretch of bad luck involving everything from print cartridges to a camera that crapped out to those dreaded T invaders. And that's not counting all the bullpucky with my car. I won't even go into the latest wrinkle, because I don't want to upset myself before bedtime. :(

So far, that's the part of the photo that seems to have jumped out at everybody. (ACK! What an image -- "The Attack of the Porn 'Stache.") But I was immediately struck by his eyes, silly girl that I am. :-)
