Got PRINT?
Remember this novel?
Much to my surprise, the print edition is now available at Amazon. (I knew it was coming; I just didn't know it was coming so quickly!)
Clicking on the post title will take you to the book's page. Unfortunately, there's no cover pic -- why, I don't know -- and I can't download one because I haven't recently made a purchase at Amazon. (They're real buttholes that way. I can't even access my author page unless I buy something from them. Don't you love the way corporations operate? Profit uber alles!)
Would anybody be interested in winning a signed copy of this book? I'm thinking of running some kind of contest, but I'm not sure where/how to do it or even if there'd be enough entrants to make it worthwhile. So if any of you experienced print authors have some tips, please bring 'em on!

I would love to win this book in print!! :D

Jase
Hey thanks, Jase! At least I'm assured of a winner if I hold a contest. ;-)
Me me me. I'll arm wrestle Jase for a personalized signed copy. And you know I'd win. :-P
Chris is the contest expert, maybe she'll offer some advice. If I act out a scene using interpretive dance would that give me an edge? A sex scene using Lego Little People?
Hi, K.Z.! Congrats on the print! I still plan to review this book -- I just need to get it together and get my time organized. I tried to put your cover image in there for you on Amazon, but I'm not sure how successful I was.
I've got the ebook already, and I have a slight phobia towards acquiring more paperbacks these days, so I wouldn't be entering the contest. But I do want to see Tam stage a Lego sex scene!
For sure, Tam...if you post it on YouTube. (Dare ya!)
By the way, what's the going rate for mailing an average trade paperback from the US to Canada? You win books all the time; you should know this stuff by heart.
I think it's around $5 to Canada, probably $2.50 in the US if you send it slow boat. I know it costs a lot more to send it from Canada to the US. I can't remember how much postage was on the last one I got. Maybe it was JCP.
Wow, Val, it's there! Thank you so much!
I get all whorish when it comes to winning print copies, because I don't have an e-reader. It's really tough for me to get through more than a short story after I've been writing at my desktop all day. Really tough. Drives me crazy, too, since there are so, so many e-books I'm dying to read--Trinity Trespass being near the top of the list!
Oohh, shiny! (It works on Amazon).
I would enter a contest to win it, even though I wouldn't win it because that's my superpower.
I'm sure Chris would post a contest for you. She's the contest queen!
Oh my. People are talking about me! :)
I'd definitely do a contest for you KZ, although it should probably wait until I'm back from San Francisco (Nov 4/5).
Oh man, that reminder of the SF trip was a buzzkill. I think Wren, Katrina, and I are the only people in the civilized world who won't be there. :-(
Now see, that would be a great place for me to peddle Mobry's Dick. I could walk around in costume wearing a sandwich board with pockets and sell my author copies while singing the "Beer Barrel Polka" (not that it's relevant to the story, but it's such a zippy tune!)
You'd be an interesting addition, KZ!!
And rumor has it that Katrina's sending some goodies with Rowan McBride, so she's going to be there after a fashion. ;)
Oh, outstanding! The photo showed up. :)
We should've planned a not-going-to-SF blog tour. You, me, Katrina...we could visit each others' blogs and talk about Chris.
KZ, you could make a video of yourself doing the sandwich board polka book sale thing. Then we'd all get to enjoy your unique talents!
Hey!!! Why pick on just me when Kris, Tam, Jenre, and Tracy are all going, too??
Because we were already talking about you.
And thanks for reminding us of how many of you are going :P
Alas, I have no one with whom to send my sandwich board.
I also have no video camera with which to capture the fiasco...I mean, brilliant promotion.
Now, if Tam has one, we could do a whole Mobry's Dick production: me sauntering around in my sandwich board, singing the "Beer Barrel Polka"; she doing an interpretive dance while corrupting Legos...
"Hey!!! Why pick on just me when Kris, Tam, Jenre, and Tracy are all going, too??"
You're a sadist, that's why -- Khris.
Really, Wren, we should've planned something special--if for no other reason than to make our sorry asses seem important.
What were we thinking?
I think we were thinking (however subconsciously) there's no possible way in hell to make our sorry asses seem important.
Hmmm...well, if not important, our sorry asses are at least entertaining!
Jealousy is soooo unattractive in an author/blogger. *sniff*
:-P
Tam, that's not nice! Here I am, offering to make you a YouTube star! Haven't you always wanted to go viral?
I loved Mobry's Dick and a signed print copy would be awesome!
And don't feel too bad cause I'm also staying home *crying* while the others are off having a great time in SF. :)
Thanks, Lily! I do hope those ladies (and I use the term very loosely *g*) provide us with some entertaining photos.
