You all are going to get SO sick of me.

Well. Color me flabbergasted.

I just heard from my editor at Loose Id that Mobry's Dick will be released May 18 instead of the original June 22. That means three releases in three months, not four, which was amazing enough. These buggers are going to have to grow some legs, though, because after May, I got plenty of nothin' coming up.

What a weird business . . .

Congrats! And, um, write like the wind! ;)

Yay, my birthday month. :-)

It is weird how things seem to go in the biz. A big rush and then a pause. Oh well, we'll take what we can get and then harass you mercilessly to write more and faster after that.

Chris and Tam, what's misleading is that this freaky scheduling has nothing to do with how fast I write. (In fact, I consider myself far less productive than I used to be.) It was just a unique confluence of circumstances.

To tell you the truth, it makes me a little nervous.

Everything happens for a reason, KZ. Try not to be nervous!

I'm with Chris and Tam: more, more, faster, faster!

Next Wren's going to start with, "Faster, Pussycat, kill, kill!"

Chris, I think you've been eavesdropping again on Chaos and Mayhem's conversations. If they find out, your socks are confetti.

Yay! I wouldn't worry about having a bit of a gap afterwards. People will just assume that you are hard at work on your next WIP.

Not the socks! Nooooooo!

Chris, I think your socks deserve to be confetti for making a movie reference that I had to google, fercryinoutloud!

But think how much more knowledgeable you are now, Wren. ;)

wren boudreau said...

No, I am not! I only skimmed. Doesn't count for knowledge acquisition!

The phrase, it is IN YOUR HEAD NOW.

I think it means that during spring other authors lose their way in deadline land, tra la, tra la.

It is good to have ms. in early and ready to go.

Oooh, KZ! That's like getting a gold star from the teacher! Yay you!

K. Z. Snow said...

Could be, Treva. I'm finding it damned hard to concentrate since the temps rose above forty and the sun started shining again. I'd rather be raking thawed dog poop off the lawn than sitting in front of a monitor. (Granted, that's one of the more extreme manifestations of cabin fever breakout. *g*)
