Hot Diggity ~ I'm a Bestseller!

Well, this doesn't mean too much, just as most "bestselling author!" claims don't mean diddly once you start getting to the bottom of them, but I've never before had this minor distinction. It appears that for an undoubtedly fleeting while, Bastards and Pretty Boys has been Liquid Silver's bestselling title at ARe (that's All Romance eBooks). LSB doesn't have hundreds and hundreds of books there -- somewhere between 130 and 140, I'd guess -- but at least one of mine temporarily made it to the top of the pile.

You can check on this claim if you want, but it's kind of a pain in the butt. You have to do a "publisher" search by entering Liquid Silver in the box, then, once you get to their listings, click on the "bestselling" tab. But frickin' do it FAST, because I'll probably be bumped from the spot within a day . . . or even hours.

I'm really, really grateful to the readers who gave me this birthday present. Really grateful.

But -- YO! -- what's with this shit? Somebody stole Hosea Booker and put him in a different time and a different place and . . . and . . . saddled him with a woman! No, that's not going to work.

Congratulations!

Heh, I saw that cover a few days ago and though "what's Jackson Spey doing on the front of a m/f book? I thought he'd sorted out all those 'yep, I'm definitely gay' feelings".

*lmao*
I saw the cover too. Though there can never be too much of such a lovely guy...

Congratulations on the well-deserved fame!!! I loved the book, just finished it and am trying to write some coherent (if brief) feedback for you *hugs*.

Yeah you. Any "best of" is a best of. :-)

Cheating? With a girl? I'm shocked and disappointed in him. Boys!

Congrats!

Heh, I just posted my first in a several part feature about stock photos and cover art.

Jen, if it were Jackson Spey, I would've gone homicidal. (Understandable slip, hon; you have a LOT of heroes to keep track of!)

Clare, did you get my email? Yahoo's been acting up for me lately and pulling some of my messages into its black hole.

I'm afraid my "fame" can probably be chalked up to a felicitous choice of title and cover models. Come on ... we all know such things happen. ;-) Circumstances aside, though, snaring a Number One spot put some happy on my face. I don't think it's ever happened to me before.

Thanks, Tam, for always being such a dear.

Chris, I'll definitely check out your posts.

Now I am confused. Isn't it the same guy on all three of your covers? Or is it that they just look similar?

I'm virtually certain the model for Jackson was different from the model for Booker. The LSB artist who did the covers for InD and TBWYA had to use the Jackson image on both covers, because there were no other available photos of that gorgeous man.

Adin, on the other hand, has been making the rounds. I believe he just appeared on one of Katrina's covers.

Thank you, buddy. I think this might explain what you and I had discussed a while back.

Hugs, Leah. I was just pleased to see that readers were interested in the book and rated it highly. Those are the goals of any writer.
