Something's actually happening this week!

Yes, it's true!  An event is scheduled in my usually uneventful little world!

Fellow Dreamspinner author SJD Peterson will be posting an interview with me and a new excerpt from Visible Friend on Thursday and Friday.  You can get to the right place by clicking on the post title (if this changes, I'll amend the link accordingly).  So, stop by and say hi.

Fun!

Do you have crazy wind and intermittent precipitation today? Blech.

We just have solid preciptation, as in snow. Well, we did. Not it's just above freezing and rain. I love weather whine threads. :-)

I'll look forward to later in the week.

Chris, uh ... "crazy wind and intermittent precipitation" sounds like a disorder of the lower digestive tract. :D

Today's just a bit breezy and cloudy. We had the truly crazy stuff yesterday morning: THUNDER HAIL! Yep. Pea-sized ice balls that fell with a vengeance and recoated the ground in white. I couldn't help but cusseth.

Well, Tam, if you like weather whines, this is certainly the year for them. I feel totally victimized, of course, since the crap that hits us usually comes from Canada via Minnesota.

Speaking of weather whines, over the weekend I read a book called The Worst Hard Time, which wove together personal stories of life in the 1930s Dust Bowl. Staggering, what those people went through (with the Great Depression on top of it!) Now I have the guilts over being such a sniveler this past winter.

I know. When I bitch about being hot because I ONLY have a window a/c in my bedroom I remember my Grandparents who dealt with 90 degree heat without any freaking electricity and not even a fan and my Grandmother had to cook on a wood stove year around. Ugh. Snivlers are us. But I'm sure they sniveled about what they had their grandparents didn't. It's probably universal.

Good golly KZ - a Big Event! You might have to sit down and put a cold compress on your head :)

Weather whining...um, it was 71 degrees at 5 this morning (so my husband tells me) and now it is 41. But very little precip to speak of.

I guess that's not really whining, is it?

Of course not, Wren. You're simply reporting. And I'll report that Chris did indeed send her crazy winds and precip our way. But it's better than a monstrous wall of dirt blowing with the force of a gale and clogging one's lungs.
